1. “Green Ag” — a proposal supported by the Global Environment Facility (GEF) has been introduced by the Government of India. The goal of this initiative is to convert Indian agriculture for the benefit of the worldwide ecosystem and the conservation of critical biodiversity and forest landscapes.

2. The Indian Railway has successfully set up the infrastructure in an effort to provide free Wi-Fi facilities at railway stations. Indian Railway has provided free Wi-Fi for travelers at more than 700 railway stations so far.

3. Union Minister Kiren Rijiji has stated that women’s participation in the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) will now be increased to 15%. In addition, registration will be 5% in the Border Security Force (BSF), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) or the Armed Border Force and the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP).

4. PM Narendra Modi started the Gangajal Project with the aim of improving water supply in Agra. Similarly, the project’s execution will provide sufficient drinking water for the local population as well as visitors.

5. Bhupesh Baghel, Chhattisgarh’s chief minister and prime politician of India’s Congress Party, revoked the general consent given to the Central Investigation Bureau (CBI) to investigate cases in the state. Likewise, the CBI must now first take the approval of the State to start any action in the state.

6. To resume the construction of the Renuka multi-purpose dam project, the Center has reached an arrangement with the four-state chief ministers and the National Capital Territory. The four states are –Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Delhi National Capital Territory.

7. Mr. Narendra Modi, India’s Prime Minister, announced the launch of a commemorative coin to celebrate the birthday of Guru Gobind Singh, the 10th Sikh Guru.

8. The National Green Tribunal (NGT) has advised Volkswagen to settle the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) a penalty of 100 crores. The NGT rubbed okay as it violated emission standards.

9. India’s Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi, inaugurated the first-ever National Museum of Indian Cinema (NMIC) in Mumbai. While inaugurating the museum, Mr. Modi said his govt would assist people from the film industry aspiring to create communications and entertainment universities in the country.

10. Mr. Nitin Gadkari, Minister for Road Transport & Highways, Shipping and Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation, launched the 1,2 km lengthy Keediyan-Gandiyal Bridge in Jammu and Kashmir.  The bridge is built on the Ravi River in Jammu and Kashmir county of Kathua.

11. The Ministry of Culture has verified that the Indian Archeological Survey (ASI) has included six landmarks in the category of ‘ preserved and of domestic significance. ‘ It is performed under the 1958 Ancient Monuments and Archeological Sites and Remains Act.

12. The Government of India, the Ministry of Women and Child Development launched the ‘ WonderWomen, ‘ an online campaign targeted at finding and celebrating women’s exceptional success, particularly those who have promoted a positive social change agenda through the social networks

13. A grand “Jallikattu”- Bull Taming event held on January 20, 2019, in Pudukottai, Tamil Nadu, is entering the world record for releasing the highest number of bulls in an arena. The number of bulls was around 1,354 and the number of tamers was 424, nearly double the previous record, i.e. 647 bulls.

14. Netherlands Tata Steel plant Recognized as ‘ Lighthouse Manufacturing.

15. The Polavaram project of Andhra Pradesh is included in the Guinness World Record Book.
